Two more 3d printed planes
« on: May 02, 2019, 01:23:54 PM »
I finished two more 3D printed planes... I really need this rain to back off!

First up is the "Northern Pike". This is a 36" plane based off a popular EPP design. The plans for this plane are FREE on Thingiverse.  This one uses a carbon fiber arrow shaft as a spar, but I'm not sure how useful it actually is.  The face design is embossed in the print, I just added paint to color. It also has a cool interlocking system in the wing I haven't seen before. It used a 3d printed firewall. But I designed a mount for a wooden one. Less chance it will melt :)

Second is the Eclipson Model Z.  Unlike the Model T I tried before, this is a low wing design. It has really cool landing gear but I opted for a belly lander as our field is a little rough for small wheels.  Really sleek lines on this one!
